Confession time. I’m usually here at least twice a month on Tuesdays. I shop at the King Sooper’s grocery store that is located next door, so, in my taco obsessed head, it makes perfect sense to combine the trip.
I took Ryan there for lunch today and every seat was taken, including the two tables outside. The fast and furious business being done there probably has a little to do with Mi Tierra’s taco Tuesday deal. Every Tuesday their tacos are $1.25 each. That’s right, $1.25 each! And they are so good.
The taco meat is just a little crunchy. I literally crave it. I also crave their al pastor tacos. I got a carnitas today, in addition to my al pastor, and it was scrumptious. I will definitely add that to my taco repertoire at Mi Tierra. Ryan was impressed and especially loved his al pastor tacos. Seriously, they are good!
Obviously, we got in after a small wait (the food comes out fairly fast). This place isn’t fancy and it’s located in a strip mall west of downtown Windsor. Patrons order at the counter. Mi Tierra has some traditional Mexican standbys like menudo (not my favorite) and posole (a definite favorite).
They serve a red and green salsa. I like them both, but I will warn you that when they say “the red is hot”, they aren’t lying. It’s hot, and that’s coming from a gal who loves anything spicy.
By the way, we’re at the height of harvest season here in Colorado, and on the way home, I stopped at Chapman’s Produce. This is a super swell place for veggies, especially tomatoes, and I wish I had discovered it sooner.

Until next time, eat a taco!
