This blog is the result of a lunch meeting at Las Delicias North in Denver, Colorado. On the way home, I was thinking about the tacos, and the name “tacos and pho” popped into my mind.
“Damn, that’s a good name for a blog,” I thought.
I came home and bought the domain name. And that, boys and girls, is how a blog is born.
Of course, it was a little more than that. The past 18 months haven’t been kind to the travel and tourism world. Between HeidiTown and freelance writing, I’ve lost a lot of business and it’s doubtful that much (if any) comes back any time soon.

For those of you unfamiliar with HeidiTown, it’s where I’ve been writing about festivals and road trips for more than a decade. I’ve concentrated on Colorado but ventured into nearby states as well.
By the way, perhaps ironically, my lunch meeting was with Dave and Christian, two great bloggers I’ve been meeting with for years. We have lunch at various spots and discuss the trials, tribulations of blogging, and the satisfaction we have in our jobs as bloggers.
As negative as the world has been lately, tacos and pho make me happy, so I think I should write about them. This isn’t a food review site, but rather, I want to expand your dining world. I will introduce eateries that are in your neighborhood but that may have escaped your notice. This offers you the opportunity to try something new!
I have not decided whether this is a site only about tacos and pho, because contrary to HeidiTown on Twitter, I do eat other things. However, I think the name rocks, so welcome to Tacos & Pho! Let’s eat!

I am a big fan of tacos! Look forward to the posts. 🙂
Pho can yeah!
Innovation, pivot, happy place.. I’m in. Know I’m there in spirit. Maybe a virtual lunch/ beer meeting is in order
